Description:
This course will cover all aspects related to the recruitment, training and retention of employees, volunteers and local officers in the corps.
Outcomes:
- Cadets will be able to find and become familiar with the most up-to-date copies of the Eastern Territory Employee Manual and Supervisor’s Handbook.
- Cadets will be able to describe basic employment policies and benefits that apply to The Salvation Army Eastern Territory.
- Cadets will be able to identify management styles/techniques that should result in the effective management of human resources, including the fundamental fairness formula.
- Cadets will be able to recognize and discuss various employment forms that are used.
- Cadets will be able to prepare a job description that meets approved guidelines.
- Cadets will be able to recall or compose at least four interview questions that are appropriate for specific corps positions.
